This is a region in the shape of a fan through which several distributataries of the Orinoco river flow and mix with the sea. The Orinoco Delta is also called as the Deltaic System . It is one of the nine geographical areas of Venezuela . The culture of this place is largely determined by the Warao Indians which are the native inhabitants of this delta.
